Terms of Service
Last updated 27 October 2026
These terms apply when a business uses Parcyo: the free 14-day watch, the founding pre-order, and the alerts we send by email and text message. They're written to be read. Signing up or pre-ordering means you accept them.
Who we are
Parcyo is run by Ermitage, LLC, 2810 North Church Street, Wilmington, DE 19802 US (“we”). For anything about these terms, email [email protected].
For businesses only
Parcyo is for businesses. You sign up a store you own or are authorised to act for, for your trade, and not as a consumer. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
The free 14-day watch
The free watch runs for 14 days from the first check. It needs no card and nothing is charged automatically: at the end it stops, unless you pre-order. We may turn down or end a free watch, for example for a store our checks can't get through.
The founding pre-order
Founding pre-orders are billed by Stripe: $19/month, charged the day you pre-order and then every month until you cancel.
Cancel any time from the link in your Stripe receipts or by replying to any of our emails, and you won't be charged again. The service keeps running until the end of the month you've paid for. When the Shopify app launches, you can move to billing through Shopify and we'll credit or refund what you paid here.
What the service does, and what it doesn't
About once an hour, a browser we run shops your store as a phone and as a desktop: a product page, a size or color, add to cart, the cart and checkout. It types the test address you gave us, checks that your shipping options and payment methods show up, and stops before payment: it never pays or places an order. When a step fails, it checks again, and only a failure that repeats becomes an alert.
Its limits:
- It stops before payment. It can't see what happens when a shopper pays or after, such as a declined card.
- It can miss breaks: problems only in Safari or Apple Pay, in the Instagram or Facebook in-app browser, on one shopper's phone, between two checks, or behind bot protection, which makes a check inconclusive rather than an alert. The list is under “What it can't see” on our home page.
- Alerts aren't a guarantee. An email or a text can arrive late or not at all, and an alert can be wrong. When sales matter, check your store yourself, and tell us with the “Was this real?” link in each alert.
We run the service with care and skill, but we can't promise it finds every problem: we commit to doing our best, not to a result.
You ask us to check your store
When you sign up, you tick a box to confirm that you own the store or are authorised to act for it, and to ask us, as your service provider, to check it automatically on your behalf. We keep the exact words of that box, when you ticked it and in which language, and we never check a signed-up store without them.
Our checks are guest visits with an automated browser, about once an hour, from the product page to checkout. They stop before payment, never pay and never place an order. We type into your checkout only the test address you give us, which must be your business or warehouse address, never a customer's. Our browser names itself: CheckoutSmokeAlarm. You can withdraw your request at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to [email protected], and we stop.
Text-message alerts
Parcyo checkout alerts is our text-message program. It's optional: you join it on the sign-up form, with its own box, which is never ticked for you. You don't need it to use the service.
- What we send: a text when a second check confirms a break that stops sales on your store, plus one reminder if it lasts, with a “Was this real?” link. No marketing.
- Message frequency varies with your store: none in most months, and usually 1 to 4 in a month when something breaks.
- Msg & data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out, and HELP for help. Texts to France and other EU countries come from a sender name that can't receive replies: email us to opt out or for help, and we stop within one business day.
- Support: [email protected].
- Mobile carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We text only the number you gave us for alerts, and never type it into a checkout. How we handle it is in the privacy notice.
Acceptable use
- Sign up only stores you own or are authorised to act for.
- Give a test address that is your own business or warehouse address, and a mobile number that is yours or your team's.
- Don't use the service to test, load or probe anyone else's store, or to get around the protections of a store, Shopify or anyone else.
- Don't resell the service, or tamper with or publish the links in our alerts.
If we believe these rules are broken, we may pause the checks on a store, and we tell you why.
Liability
If something goes wrong because of us, we're responsible for the direct losses we could reasonably foresee. We aren't responsible for lost sales, lost profit, wasted ad spend or other indirect losses, including when the service misses a break or an alert arrives late.
Our total liability to you, for everything to do with the service, is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 USD.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Ending
You can stop the free watch or cancel the pre-order at any time, as above. We can end the service for a store with 30 days' notice by email, or at once if these terms are seriously broken. If we end a paid pre-order for any other reason, we refund the part of the month you've paid for and not used. Once the service ends, your data is deleted as the privacy notice says.
Changes to these terms
We email the stores we watch at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and the date at the top changes. If you don't agree, cancel before then; using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States. Any dispute goes to the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law gives it to another court. Before that, write to us: we'll try to settle any disagreement by email first.
